A model and shader crafted with absolute realism in mind.

In this product you will receive a blend file with the CD model, which is split into 3 parts, but has a controller which you should use to move the CD. This file has 2 HDRIs for lighting which are the 2 that I liked the most while making this, both from polyhaven. This is quite an advanced shader so it will likely take quite a long time to render.

Layered Modeling Approach

Each layer of the CD is actually modeled to take advantage of Cycle's path tracing and have extremely accurate lighting interactions.

Photoreal Surface imperfections

All of the surface imperfections are done with the industry standard material layering technique so that those scratches and fingerprints feel as tactile as possible.

Ultimate Controls

Each layer has it's own material with custom node groups that have easily understandable controls.
