Auto Smear Version 3 is Here!

What's New?

Everything. Auto Smear V3 is a complete remake of the old version with new nodes from blender 4.5, and a whole new shiny add-on to go along with it (though the old version is still there for people with old versions of blender!). The addon has been thoroughly beta tested to ensure maximum quality.

How to install

Just drag the .zip file directly onto your blender viewport and hit install! The addon will then show up in the N-panel of your 3D viewport. This process is the same for the Full and Free versions.

How to Use

Adding Smears

After installation you can find all of the addon buttons in the N-panel. At first you'll only have 2 buttons for adding the smears (or 1 in the free version). To add a smear press either of the buttons with one or more objects selected and the addon will handle the rest. You can then edit the look of the smear in the modifier of the object. In previous versions settings were scattered between the shift + a menu, the N-panel, and modifiers on multiple objects but now, for both the free and paid versions, they are all only in the N-panel or modifier on one object.

Cleanup Options

Once you have a smear in the scene, if you select any object related to that smear there will be some extra options in the panel. The delete options do what they say, they'll delete the smears and any collections that the addon made so that you don't have to worry about it.

Bake Options

All of the buttons in the bake panel are very similar to the buttons for baking in the simulation tab, except they all only work for smear objects and can be used when any object related to a smear is selected. You can see if a smear is baked by selecting it and looking for the purple line at the bottom of the timeline.
